What’s School Banking All About?

School Banking is a fun, interactive and engaging way for our kids to learn about money and develop good savings habits.

When children join the program they receive a Commbank Dollarmites deposit wallet and a Platybank money box, along with a range of fun, engaging materials to help them learn and encourage them to save.

It’s also a great fundraising activity, and our school receiving 5% of every individual deposit made at school (up to $10), along with other benefits. In past years, School Banking has made almost $2,000 for our school and we would like to surpass this in 2016!

School banking operates every Thursday morning at HRSS.

Rewarding Good Savings

To help reward individual savings efforts, every time a student deposits into their Youthsaver account through School Banking, regardless of the amount, they’ll receive a Dollarmites token.

Once they’ve collected 10 tokens, they can redeem them for a variety of exciting reward items. They’ll also receive a certificate when they reach certain savings milestones.

Be a HRSS School Bank Volunteer

The saying the more the merrier couldn’t be more true and at School banking we are always looking for volunteers to help manage the school Bank process each Thursday morning.

All you need to join our team is a couple of hours free each Thursday morning (9am to 11am) and a great sense of humour!

To contact School banking, or to volunteer to join our fun team, simply visit the Administration Office to collect a Form indicating your interest.

Please complete this Form and pass it back to the Office for School Banking to volunteer for this great program by filling in the tear off section and returning it to:
