Kids Matter

Our Kids Matter program was launched today at parade with leaders receiving lanyards and wristbands to kick start the initiative. Special guests Shannon (School Chaplain) and Police Officer Mick (Adopt a Cop) were there to provide an insight into their school based activities and display how they believe Kids Matter at Highland Reserve State School.

Kids Matter at Highland Reserve State School, so through the funds raised at our annual Highland Fling event, we are able to develop and implement a series of programs designed to build a positive school community of healthy happy people.

Kids Matter includes the following great school programs and initiatives:

- 123 Magic Parenting
- Adopt A Cop
- Bootcamp
- Braveharts Ditto’s education program
- Breakfast Club
- Community breakfasts
- Community Counselling
- Daniel Morcombe Child Safety Curriculum
- Running Club
- School Chaplaincy program
- Silver and Gold student recognition
