Cyber Safety Parent Information Sessions

Over recent years, the internet has had an increasing influence on children's social development and how they interact with each other. The internet, technologies and social media provide children with wonderful opportunities to learn, be creative and socialise. However, just as with face-to-face interactions, sometimes students do face challenges that they need support to deal with.

Highland Reserve State School encourages all parents and community members to attend our cyber safety session aimed to support families to be informed about keeping children safe on the internet.

The presenter Brett Lee, from Internet Safe Education is a former Qld Police Officer, who in his last five years of service worked in the field of undercover internet investigations. Brett will cover topics such as protective and preventative measures, the law and the internet, social networking and cyberbullying.
